Terms of Use

What this is

Amos Standard is a study tool. It searches a library of Christian texts — Scripture, confessions, commentaries, classic works, hymns, and prayers — and answers questions using what it finds, citing its sources so you can check them.

By using it, you agree to what is written here.

What this is not

It is not a pastor, a counsellor, or a church. It does not know you, does not have the standing to absolve, advise, or decide anything for you, and is not a substitute for the people God has actually placed around you.

It is not professional advice. Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

It is not emergency help. If you are in danger, or thinking of harming yourself, the app cannot help you. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), or call 911. Please reach a person.

It is not confession, and it is not privileged. The prayer journal is private, and we go to some length to keep it that way. But private is not the same as protected. What you write to a priest or a pastor in confidence can be shielded by law; what you write here is not, because we are not clergy and this is not a confessional. If a court ever ordered us to hand over data, nothing about this app would stop it. We tell you this because the alternative is letting you assume otherwise.

About the answers

The answers are generated by an AI model working from real texts, and every answer shows the sources it used. That design makes an answer checkable; it does not make it correct. The model can misread a passage, miss context, or state something the cited source does not support.

Read the sources. They are shown for exactly that reason. When an answer matters, the source is the authority, not the answer.

The app can be set to a Christian tradition, and answers reflect that setting. This is a tool for study within a tradition, not a ruling on which tradition is right.

Your account

You need a Google account to sign in. Keep access to it secure; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 18 years old.

What you may not do

  • Use the app to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Scrape or bulk-extract the corpus or the generated answers.
  • Use the answers as training material for a model that competes with this one.
  • Resell access, or present the answers as the work of a human pastor or scholar.

What you write stays yours

Your notes, prayers, journal entries, and questions belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them.

We store and process them only to operate the app for you: to show them back to you, to search on your behalf, and to keep the service running. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish it.

What the AI providers who help answer your questions may do with the text is a separate matter, and we will not blur the two: it is set out, provider by provider, in the Privacy Policy.

The answers are yours to use. We claim no ownership of what the app writes back to you. Quote it in a lesson, paste it into your notes, read it aloud to your study group. Two things to keep in mind: an answer is only as good as the sources under it, so check them before you lean on one in public; and the works those sources come from have their own copyright status, which our answering them does not change.

If someone else asks the same question, they may get the same answer or one very like it. That is how these models work. An answer written for another person is theirs, not yours.

Feedback. If you write to us with an idea, a complaint, or a description of something that is broken, we may act on it and build it, with no obligation and no payment to you. Telling us the app is wrong about something is a gift, and we would rather receive it than negotiate over it.

The texts in the library

The library consists of works in the public domain and material we are permitted to use. The app is provided for personal study.

Availability and changes

The app is provided as it is. We may change or remove features, and we may have downtime. We do not promise the service will always be available or that your data can never be lost — keep your own copy of anything you would grieve losing.

If these terms change

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you — what you may do, what we may do with what you write, what the app promises — we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change. If you do not want to accept a new version, stop using the app and delete your account; nothing here is designed to trap you into terms you did not agree to.

Ending it

You may stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Ending your account ends your use of the app, not this agreement’s application to the use you already made of it: the sections on liability, disclaimers, and what the app is not continue to apply to what came before.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, Viktar Danilchyk is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

To the fullest extent the law allows, total liability for any claim is limited to what you have paid to use Amos Standard — which, at present, is nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. In particular, nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law of your country says cannot be signed away. If you are a consumer in the European Union, those protections are yours whatever this page says.

Governing law

Amos Standard is operated from Poland, and these terms are governed by Polish law.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protections of the law where you live — including, in the European Union, the mandatory consumer rights that no contract can waive.
